Semiconductor Quantum Light Sources

This textbook is aimed at students and researchers in physics, photonics and quantum engineering. The authors are world leaders in the field of semiconductor quantum-dot physics and single-photon sources, and their aim has been to write a book “by experimentalists for experimentalists.”

The book has three parts. The first gives a summary of the quantum optics of quantum light sources. The second focuses on the physics of semiconductor quantum dots, while the third describes technologies for growth, fabrication and design of nanophotonic devices. All chapters end with a helpful summary, and the separate sections are relatively independent of each other. This means that the book can be useful to a much larger readership than just researchers in semiconductor quantum optics.
