This book is devoted to the broadly developed field of nanowires and its perspectives and future challenges. It is so extensive and thorough that it would be impossible to describe even briefly the many valuable topics covered, as well as their connections with applications in electronics, optics and nanotechnologies. Overall, it will be of interest to a great variety of readers, from graduate students to experts in the field.
