OSA observed the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on 11 February by leading a tribute campaign that highlighted aspiring and established women in optics and photonics. The society encouraged its community to commemorate women in science by publicly paying tribute to a student, mentor, colleague or supervisor whose life and career has served as a source of inspiration.
