Flower Laser Beams thumbnail
Flower Laser Beams

The flower laser beams are generated from a spatial light modulator and projected to the wall by the use of an aspherical lens. A new form of laser beam sculpting can be achieved by manipulating the phase on a spatial light modulator. These structured beams provide potential applications for optical information and communications. The photo was captured in laser physics laboratory, National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan.
