A polarization “painting” inspired by Kandinsky
Layers of colorless adhesive tape are cut, oriented, and sandwiched between crossed polarizing sheets. The tape is birefringent and dichroic, allowing for a wide palate of colors to be perceived in transmitted sunlight.
