Plasmonic Optical Fiber Biosensors

This book describes, in depth, different aspects of plasmonic optical fiber biochemical sensing, from the fundamentals to associated technologies. This multidisciplinary field of research is now mature and has strong impacts in several medical fields such as immunosensing, DNA and RNA sensing, and bioreceptors.

The target audience for this text is graduate students in photonics, but anyone concerned with fiber optic devices using plasmonic amplification will profit from reading it. I have moved this book straight to the top of my reading recommendations for my students interested in biophotonics and biochemical sensing.
