Handbook of Optofluidics

Optofluidics is a new area of optics involving fluids—either for building innovative optical devices or for controlling them. The detection of flowing media is at the core of this emergin area that integrates optical and micro/nanofluidics technologies. The book is divided into three main parts; the first part deals with the basic knowledge necessary to understand optofluidics, the second part pertains to optical elements and devices based on fluids, and the third part focuses on bioanalysis. The book is written in a clear manner by experts in the field. The book is must for optics professionals, as optofluidics continues to open new avenues, especially in the area of bio-detection of molecules and optical-lab-on-chips.
