Optical Communications Readies for Launch

The 2025 Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exhibition (OFC) will take place from 30 March to 3 April in San Francisco, USA. Bryan S. Robinson, leader of the Optical and Quantum Communications Group, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory, USA, will give a plenary entitled, “Space-Based Optical Communications: Present Capabilities and Future Opportunities.” He plans to discuss recent developments in free-space optical communications and look ahead to future applications and advances. OPN spoke with Robinson ahead of OFC for a preview.
