A series of learning initiatives at Thorlabs—including a photonics lab on wheels—is bolstering the photonics community.

On an unseasonably warm day in September 2023, the Thorlabs Mobile Photonics Lab Experience debuted at Sussex County Community College in Newton, NJ, USA. The initial goal of the project was to share photonics with students at high schools and colleges and at community events en route to the Photonics West conference in San Francisco, USA.
