Optica’s Quantum 2.0 Conference and Exhibition—centered around increasingly mature technologies such as quantum computers and simulators, quantum communications and quantum sensors—took place from 23 to 27 June in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The opening keynote from Immanuel Bloch, Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, Germany, covered new avenues for quantum simulation with ultracold atoms, molecules and photons. Other keynote speakers included Christopher Eichler, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany; John Kitching, National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA; and Stephanie Wehner, QuTech, Netherlands.
