Byoungho Lee, a great engineer, inspiring educator and devoted leader in the field of optics, passed away on 7 November 2022 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, at the age of 58. His death sadly cut short a three-decade-long endeavor on 3D display technologies that had significant impact in both academia and industry.
