If Luminit LLC (California, USA) had a favorite expression, it would likely be “big things come in small packages.” The privately held high-tech optics firm’s flagship product, Light Shaping Diffusers, features a patented, micro-structure-based technology that precisely shapes, controls and distributes light. And those tiny microstructures, although invisible to the naked eye, are helping to reduce the size, weight and cost of the next generation of optical systems.
