2018 OSA Officers Announced
OSA members have elected Stephen D. Fantone, the president and founder of Optikos Corp., USA, as the society’s 2018 vice president. Fantone will serve for four years on the society’s Board of Directors, including a one-year term as its president in 2020. Members also elected three directors-at-large for three-year terms beginning in January: Roel Baets, Ghent University, Belgium; Gisele Bennett, Georgia Institute of Technology, USA; and Ekaterina Golovchenko, IPG Photonics, USA. The results were announced during OSA’s 2017 annual meeting, Frontiers in Optics, in Washington, D.C.
