1987: NSF Grants [U.S. Army]
“The National Science Foundation (NSF) has established a grants program to upgrade science education in grades kindergarten through 12. The goal is to make quality science curricula options available to state and local educational agencies. The NSF curricula development will emphasize hands-on learning and will reinforce lessons in other subjects, such as language arts and math.”
