Since 2001, Gary Smith has served as CEO of Ciena, a company with expertise in packet and optical networking and distributed software automation networks. At OFC 2014 in March, Smith will discuss the evolving network ecosystem and how industry will produce new opportunities as networking experts aim to deliver unprecedented levels of convergence, programmability, openness and software intelligence required to adapt to changing information demands.
