Optical Devices in Ophthalmology and Optometry: Technology, Design Principles and Clinical Applications

This volume is based on lectures that the authors gave to their graduate students. It provides an interdisciplinary overview of the most relevant techniques and technologies in ophthalmology and optometry. The authors include a detailed discussion of optical principles as they relate to the fields, as well as corresponding diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Because of this very through approach, the book is quite long—638 pages. The intended audience is a broad spectrum of readers, from engineers and physicists working in academic and industrial R&D to ophthalmologists and optometrists with an interest in optical technology. The book is clearly written with many excellent illustrations.
